This is the week that we’ve all been waiting for, Utah Fashion Week for Spring 2016 is among us! There are designers everywhere perfecting and finishing their collections, models getting ready to strut the runway, and bloggers/press ready to snap every second of the event. This is one of the most exciting weeks for Up-and-Coming designers as well as other local designers here in Salt Lake City that we have grown to know and love.
As for the week, it surely started off with a bang! On Tuesday night UFW hosted their VIP Kick-off Party which was a kick-off party for press and industry VIP’s. The night was filled with chatter amongst the attendees, delicious mini desserts such as macaroons provided by The Blonde who Bakes, exquisite floral decorations made by Native Flower Company, and a live DJ on the scene from Uplift. The mini runway show also showcases a quick preview of all the talented designers in the mix of UFW this year. All together the night was successful and a great way to get Utah Fashion Week started. As for the rest of Utah Fashion Week, the first show is TONIGHT! Although The Up-and-Coming Show is sold out, if you had already purchased tickets then the show starts tonight February 25, 7:00 PM at the Gateway Mall, SLC. Tomorrow, February 26, is The Eveningwear and Avant Garde Show which is also sold out, but will be at 7:00 P.M. at The Falls Event Center, SLC. Saturday afternoon, February 27, is The Daywear and Cocktail Show at 2:30 P.M. also at The Falls Event Center, SLC. All of this leads up to the final show of UFW Spring 2016, The Bridal Show!! This is the show that we are showcasing a new collection in and tickets are still available for Saturday night February 27, at 7:30 P.M. at The Falls Event Center, SLC. All tickets can be purchased at theUtah Fashion Week website.
